When a recipe is saved for the first time a text file will be automatically created. When the recipe is later loaded and displayed from disc the text file will be accessable in the text editor.

Editing a Recipe's Text File

When you have saved a new recipe or loaded one from disc select the menu item shown in Fig.1

Fig.2 Attaching a text file to a recipe

If you have already saved information in the text file for the recipe it will be displayed when you open the editor.

When opening the recipe's text file for the first time you may want to paste the full contents of the recipe file into the text editor.

There is no limit to the size of this file. Over a period of time you may develop an extensive record of notes concerning the recipe.

The contents of the text editor may be copied for pasting in an email.

This process may also be completed in the Recipe Information window.

Whenever this recipe is loaded into Matrix in future the text file may be displayed by clicking the button in the tool bar.
